About TopMe.dev
TopMe.dev is a free public board for developers who are looking for work. We turn public GitHub activity into a simple rank so you are easier to find than a buried profile link. There are no user accounts to create, no paid boosts, and no bidding — rank comes only from public work.
Anyone can add any public GitHub username, but only the verified owner (via GitHub OAuth) can remove it. Anyone can refresh a profile to pull the latest hireable flag, bio, stars, and activity. Scores are recalculated on every refresh.
Who it is for
Job seekers who ship in public and want visibility without paying a job board. Recruiters who want to skim by language, location, open to work, and verified ownership instead of keyword spam. Maintainers who want a README badge that points to a live rank.
How it stays free
Ads on the site help keep it free. We use Google AdSense Auto ads and nothing else — Google chooses placements. Rank cannot be bought and ads never influence it. You will only see the AdSense script after you click Accept in our cookie banner; until then it is blocked by Consent Mode v2. You can change your choice anytime via the Cookies link in the footer. See Privacy for how cookies and consent work and how to opt out at adssettings.google.com.
What we believe
Public work should be a career signal. TopMe rewards shipped repos, stars earned, followers earned, recent public events, and account age — log-scaled so one viral repo does not erase everyone else. It is not a commit-streak game, not a paid listing, and not a recruiter database. If you stop shipping, your 90-day activity fades and you slip — that is intentional.
Our role
We are not a recruiter, employer, or GitHub affiliate. We do not guarantee interviews or jobs, and we do not evaluate private work. Scores can lag the GitHub API, hit rate limits, or be incomplete. The board is a free visibility layer — you still need a good README, issues, and communication.
